Does anyone remember the indie top 20's compilations? They date back to
around 1986-7 to around 1996.

I first heard of all the c-86 stuff like the flatmates, close lobsters,
talulah gosh, blue aeroplanes, mighty mighty, BMX bandits, the
chesterfields,
pop will eat itself and the soup dragons etc., from those tapes and CD's

What about all the band that were C-86 before people knew who they
were?
Should I say My Bloody Valentine (exstacy and wine), Primal Scream (sonic
flower groove), McCarthy, Shop Assistants, Razorcuts, CUD, Wedding
present,
Weather Prophets, Jasmine Minks, Biff Bang POW, soup dragons, The Loft,
Bodines etc.. (some people never knew who some of these bands were period)

What about the turn of the 90's? Should I say House of Love, the
Telescopes, Paris angels, mock turtles, the stone roses, the farm, the
charlatans UK, Spirea X, Inspiral Carpets, New fast automatic daffodils,
flowered up, the darkside, field mice.

All of these band debuted on the indie top 20's vol. #1 to #25. I
guess
times are changing, and there aren't too many band trying to imitate the
smiths anymore. The 80's were fun but they're done.

   My thoughts,

                        Sincerely Yours,

                        Randy P. Wolpin
