listened to? I know what you're all thinking I'm gong to say... no, it 
wasn't BA. It was the Kipper Family's brilliant Christmas album "Arrest 
These Merry Gentlemen." Is there a prize for being the first one to 
mention the Kipper Family on this page??

Ahhh. Glad I poked the bear.  I responded that way because this topic has
been discussed ad nauseam.  As most of the members of this list know, I
purchased the record as soon as it came out, recorded it, ripped it MP3s,
then offered the MP3s to anyone who wanted them as long as the band didn't
have a problem with it.  I never heard from the band with their approval, 
so
maybe that's an argument you can make with them rather than yet again
complaining they haven't run out and invested in the soon to be obsolete CD
medium.

D'you think the band intended to end up looking like fat old timers playing

are now, and how they'll be remembered if they carry on with this unique

Steve Wilson and Tim Bowness also hate the way music is treated
nowadays..but even tho' they'd rather have us listen to their albums as a
total concept rather than flicking from track to track and dis-respecting
the music, they make their art available in whatever medium fans want to

You could argue that, putting it on itunes, spotify or sampling on your 
website is a lot cheaper than investing in outdated vinyl.

It's impossible to make a pile of money as a cult band these days. ?And if
