Use one of the usb turntables that everybody appears to have and convert
said item to a very poor quality digital format and mail it out to
everybody who missed last night's probably amazing gig so that we can
rejoice/moan about hearing it.

...and more nice chances:
We were clearing out stuff from various moves that'd never been opened & I
came across a tape of a Planes concert recorded off BBC radio in about
1992 or so that I feared lost years ago. Amongst other gems it has the Boy
in the Bubble with Gerard singing "every generation throws another fucking
hero up the pop charts". Never truer.

Here's another one who can't wait for Saturday. Don't really understand
why people are getting so eggy about the details - aren't we all on the
same side here? Mental note for the next dinner party - never discuss
religion, politics or low loss digital music formats.
Anyway, in other news - I've just come back from a trip to the USA and on
the plane I was messing about with the entertainment programs. There were
a couple of compilations of music from British cities - there was a
Manchester one, and a Bristol one, which featured Aeroplane Blues as one
of the tracks. Which was nice.

Nice one Rocker!
That reminds me...
Bristol City Council granted the licence changes we requested last month
so we can open until 4am Thu, Fri & Sat every week if we want. They also
agreed to remove the restriction on children. This means anyone who is 16
or 17 is allowed in the venue at any time as long as they don't drink
alcohol. It also means anyone under 16 can stay in the venue until
midnight if accompanied by an adult.
We're happy to let you spin those tunes until 4am if you want Rocker.
Let's see if there's anyone hard core enough to still be there at the end!
...and if any of you want to bring your kids to their first Aero's gig -
no problem!
Another thing I realised at the rehearsal last weekend - this is the first
gig I've ever done with Rod in the band. I absolutely adore Broken &
Mended - always have. It's brilliant to play even though it's not the most
straightforward bass line I've ever had to learn. Oh and I'd forgotten how
difficult Pony Boy is too! Ok thats enough of the set list leaks.
See you Saturday
Chris

And another spoilt child takes his ball home - Chris, ignore these
immature criticisms, the vast majority of people on this list are fully
behind you in this venture. The Fleece has been wasted as a venue for well
over 10 years so it is obvious that it will take a bit of time to turn it
around.
And for the people who were complaining that it was too noisy **AT
A ROCK GIG** I can only quote Bob Dylan's famous indirect riposte to the
shout of "Judas" from the audience (as most on here will probably know he
turned to his band and said "Play it fucking loud" before they ripped into
"Like A Rolling Stone").
It is ace that the launch gig tickets are selling so well!
For anyone who is coming along, my friend Ian and I are "Getting
Together", Bristol's finest Northern Soul night, and we will be playing
vintage soul vinyl between the bands, and indeed after the bands - so if
enough people stick around after the Aeros' set we can promise to give you
something upbeat and danceable!
Hope to see a lot of you there!
Rocker
