I don't post on here much. Rarely have much to add. I saw the Aeros for the
first time in '89 and many times again afterward. Now I live in the States
and doubt I'll see them again. Think of Beatsongs and Tolerance and
Spitting
out Miracles: incandescent albums that sound as fresh now as when we first
heard them.
You can't complain about how art is produced. If you don't like it, go and
find another favourite band.
Great art is idiosyncratic and can't be pushed around. Kerouac without
booze
= not Kerouac. Dylan Thomas without booze = not Dylan Thomas. Plath without
a gas oven = not Plath.
The Internet has made things immediate. This is not always good. Wait
instead. Be patient. Flaubert took thirty years to write Madame Bovary.
We'd
have been pestering him every week to get it done. Our heroes are
accessible
now. Also not good. Don't badger them.
