Cracking Idea Chris
Song: Detective Song
Album : Rough Music
Hazard Lights, Triangles
Those are someone's feelings
Strewn all over the road
Another person waves your hand
It's a Cat-show in winter
That exhibition's behind us
A new shape, intending to be the last
In the heart of it, In the heart of it
You try to see round it
Well, look at you
What's going wrong? What's going wrong?
Well if you want to be a kite
Get wound into your hand and let go
Easily anchored to the earth
Want me around, Want me around
World Nil, space one
It doesn't exist
But you live there anyway
You won, you won
It's like being in a book
Have a look at it, immaculate
When you find a clue
Drop me to earth and leave me articulate on
Detective Song, detective song
You're bad for a part
Sub machine-ex and kingfisher-blue
Westron wynde and total minus three
Look at the love you gave to me
Look at it, look at it
Run, jump, sing, shout
Fighting Cock in a sandy pit
What's going on?, what's going on?

Subject: Re: [Blueplanes] Lyrics
If everyone on this forum wrote out the lyrics to just one song each
you could have all the lyrics to all the songs in about 5 minutes!
Then they are all here for us to share too. Someone could even gather
them up and put them on the lyrics sites on the web. Shouldn't be too
hard to organise. Here's my contribution to kick things off:
Song: What It Is
Album: Swagger
Watch these hands
Watch what they're doing
What is it?
They float around the neck like nervous birds
They circle the waist like sly torpedoes
Then they hike into the interior
You know how it is
You can be your enemy
Turns a sideways figure of eight
Oh we've each got our positions in this exchange of views
This oratory, this debate
You know, I think one of us should drink the other to tears
Well alcohol it composes to water
You know there's not much to it
The last part was nothing less than the same as the first
Your dark eyes, your blue eyes
Your dark eyes, your blue eyes
Oh memory's a house under rain
The morning was bright
I met your train
A haze of perception brought buildings closer and sounds from further
away
I watched a kiss on private ground
And a phone box demolished by mistake
Just watch it explode
Yeah I know, I know, I know
He doesn't want you to speak
He's not sure if he even wants you to breathe
And if he says you're not gonna last a week without him
It's only what he wants you to believe
These lovers
You ask them to go, they won't come back
You ask them to stay, they won't go away
The morning was evening, train was a bus, it was dull, dull, dull
You've got something to tell me?
I can taste it
I can taste it
I know what it is
My cds a re back in England (I'm based in Switzerland!) and I only
have the songs on my laptop and ipod. I remember the lyrics were
printed on Swagger. Maybe you can double check these just to make
sure I didn't mis-hear anything!
BTW you should find the applicant easily on the web as it is a well
know poem by someone else
