Re: Everyone's [Rough Music] and with the [sugared almond]

PV2's email sent me back to *Rough Music* last night, and I must admit I'd
completely forgotten how it goes after Detective Song. Is the problem that
it's less than the sum of its parts? It's great from A Map Below through
to
Dark, but for the first few tracks it keeps changing pace in abrupt ways.
Or is it just that Detective Song sets high standards which the next few
songs don't live up to?
I love Pat Fish's tune on Whatever Happened to our Golden Birds though, and
Saint Me and the Devil is still fantastic.
I'm sure some of the above will inflame the lovers of sugar almond, so I'm
off to hide in the cellar for a few weeks,
Michael
