Well, I never thought I'd have to say this on a BA-list, but Since 1985,
Marillion appears to be my top 1 band.
I can't help, I just adore Steve Rothery's guitar-playing. I liked Fish
pretty much; especially live he is a real entertainer.
But once, I met him after a concert and he appeared to be the most
arrogant
person I have ever met.

Imho Hogharth is a much better singer.
Rothery always strikes me when he touches his strings...
In november 1999 I went to see them in Holland. The first time I was a
little disappointed... I always thought a band had to play the best songs
from their latest cd, which Marillion obviously didn't do... (someone
knowing : Interior Lulu ???)
It's sometimes hard to be a fan from that group since each cd sounds so
different, compared with the previous one... You always have to get used
to
their new stuff.
But still, they're great (again : imo)

Another band I love is very much related to Marillion. It's the band with
their first drummer and founder Mick Pointer ; Arena. For those amoung
you
who like some nice prog-rock, 'the visitor' is really a cd to have.
Again : very nice guitar-parts again...

Sometimes I wonder how it is possible to love and to adore so much
different
music-genres...

Hans
