Gosh -- it wasn't 'I want you' was it? The Summerhill single I mean? I've
been after that for ages and had no idea I should have been buying up
mystery 10-packs on the off chance. You're right about the mullet -- in
fact I think both the drummer and the bass player were guilty on that
score.
And you're dead right about the Fall too. It's all marvellous stuff, right
up there with the BAs and the VU. I thought Touch Sensitive was one of the
best singles of last year, and yes F-Oldin Money was pretty good too. Are
you on the Fall-Net mailing list? lots of very amusing mail there.
I took my girlfriend to see the Fall once in a pub in Aberdeen. It was the
single loudest noise I'd ever heard, we stood right next to the PA, and
she
knew they were my heroes, but she still managed to fall asleep on the
monitors. Narcoleptic or what. I resolved to marry her at once.
