Scott:
Will the new LP be available on the website if it does not sell out at the
show?I ask for those of us who love the aeroplanes in the United
States...Can we purchase the LP before the show to guarantee us a copy???
Me:
A assume so? Chris?? They said they are pressing 500 and the capacity of
the Fleece is only around 400, so you should be ok. Even if the gig sells
out, I can't see everyone who goes trying to buy more than one, somehow....
I'm happy to pick up one or two for people who can't make it if mail order
from the website isn't going to happen.

Me again:
I saw a wax cylinder gramaphone player in a junk shop window a while back
and went in to inquire, but it turned out that it was a non working
replica.
I do have a sizeable collection of 78s (and a nice old 60's Garrard SP25
on which to play them), so would happily accept it in that format. I
think Tom Waits released a 78 recently?
I was doing a college course on Popular Music a few years ago, and was the
oldest person on the course by a country mile. At one point they
distributed a load of music on old formats for us to peruse. The group I
was in were passed these strange plastic cases and the rest of them looked
noneplussed. "So I'm the only one in the room apart from the lecturer who
knows what an eight track cartridge looks like then?" Turned out the
answer was yes.
