Me
Really looking forward to the gig later. I may well have a spare ticket,
as the mate I was going with ain't well, so let me know if you're heading
down without one.
Rob:
anyway.....have given the heads up to David Bell in Athens Georgia the
other week regarding the great news regarding the new owners of the
Fleece....he runs the business side of the REM machine, top guy, and
checked out the web site immediately promising to dig his copy of Swagger
( obviously sitting next to him in the office) and pass on the latest
BA news which he said would pass on to the band asap...i'm sure Michael
and Peter will be blown away by the BAs continued journey...and
considering Peter Bucks enjoyment ( and drum playing wow!!!) at the
Fleece a few years ago find it great that the BAs now have their own "40
watt club" or dare i say it "factory".... always keen to inspire up and
coming bands....maybe its time for these great minds to get together
again!!!!!!
Me:
Peter Buck played the Fleece a couple of times quite recently with Robyn
Hitchcock's backing band The Venus Three. Gerard was at one of those gigs
at least and was hanging out backstage with him I believe.
While I'm here, big thanks to Chris again for keeping us all informed.
Its been a wee bit fractious here recently, but I think that's par for the
course for these sorts of lists. Sometimes its very easy to word an
email, maybe too bluntly or with an unusual choice of words, in a may that
could wind people up. Lets keep it as nice as we can, people, and
hopefully we won't lose any more. Everyone I've met off this list has
proved to be a nice person in real life.
See y'all later....
