Hi to everyone on here...first posting, but couldnt resist it the night
before the big gig....

...have been down to the thunderbolt the last two gigs, but missed
fiddlers last dec due to a Primal Scream gig in my hometown Gloucester....

been a big fan since being recommended by Phil Jump a listen of
friendloverplane 2. many many years ago ..Being big REM fans from the
early days he saw the Hammersmith gig!!...people might have heard of
Phil....he runs Badlands Records in Cheltenham....winners of this years
Independent record shop of the year and a big big BA
follower....unfortunately missing tomorrow as he is recuperating from an
op... i'm pretty sure hes posted on here a while back...even put on the
BAs at the Shaftesbury hall in Cheltenham circa 1991!!!!!!

anyway.....have given the heads up to David Bell in Athens Georgia the
other week regarding the great news regarding the new owners of the
Fleece....he runs the business side of the REM machine, top guy, and
checked out the web site immediately promising to dig his copy of Swagger
( obviously sitting next to him in the office) and pass on the latest
BA news which he said would pass on to the band asap...i'm sure Michael
and Peter will be blown away by the BAs continued journey...and
considering Peter Bucks enjoyment ( and drum playing wow!!!) at the
Fleece a few years ago find it great that the BAs now have their own "40
watt club" or dare i say it "factory".... always keen to inspire up and
coming bands....maybe its time for these great minds to get together
again!!!!!!

Good luck and thanks for getting this great venue back on the
map.......looking foward to GREAT GIG TOMORROW!!!

Rob
