Me:
Fiddlers is never the best place to get a decent pint of anything. One of
the downsides about not being open every night. BBF brews are usually
excellent though. As it happens, I met up with a couple of mates before
the gig in the Windmill. They had a BBF seasonal brew that I've not seen
before - Bristletoe. Lovely!

Roger:
And what's going on with Rita Lynch? I caught her smiling a few time
during the set. Her solo number was great.

Me again:
She seems to have a new lease of life. She's been knocking around the
Bristol music scene almost as long as the Planes have. I've got an album
she put out on the Sugarshack label a few years ago. The band I'm in have
supported her on 3 or 4 occasions in the past 2 years. Most of those gigs
she was playing solo. As I mentioned before, I saw her in the Junction in
October backed by John L, Joe Allen and Gerard S. It was the best gig
I've ever seen her play by a country mile. Having that band behind her
really made a difference, both to her sound and it seemed her performance.
I believe that her a John L are an "item", as it were.
