You must remember that I was 16 when "Anarchy in the UK" was released - 
anything old, hairy progressive, slow, over 2 minutes long, or that our 
collective 
big brothers liked, was ruthlessly purged during the punk wars - maybe we 
threw the baby out with the bathwater but the purge was certainly needed - 
just 
watch those reruns of early 70s OGWT - and Zep were pretty much the 
epitome of 
all we hated about the musical establishment.

Over the years I have managed to let back into my life Neil Young, Pink 
Floyd, Black Sabbath, and even some Deep Purple - but I cannot find 
anything 
remotely enjoyable in Zep, although I can see they are good at what they 
do, and a 
hell of a lot better than Wishbone Ash; Rush; Uriah Heep; Genesis; Yes; 
Status 
Quo (the list is endless).

I really would far rather see the Aeroplanes!
