Yes it must be said that with Angelo, Dave C, Wojteck, John L and Mr
Gerard L, that was indeed one of the best gigs and line ups I've seen and
heard in a long time. Shame they can't tour with them.... And what a treat
for Abi who lost her BAs' cherry. Highlights definitely Police 38, And
Stones and Breaking in my Heart including comedy start from Angelo.
Lowlights - Fun. Out of tune and out of place I'm afraid although contrary
to popular opinion I think Treeful of Starlings worked very well with Dave
C and Rodders doing their stuff.

This was the Blue Aeroplanes at their best - slightly shambolic at times
but when it comes together the best band in the world.

And for the finale six guitars (bliss) on stage for the finale - it was
like being back at the Western Star Domino Club all over again. All we
needed was John Stapleton spinning some tapes and discs between the
numbers. Tip my hat to the sound engineer.

Fab, fab, fab and good to see y'all folks.

    Indeed.

I think the ' 911 was an inside job' t-shirt was a bit of a giveaway
as well.

Excellent night, the turnout from the Band, and the List, making it a
pretty special one as well.

Was feeling pretty 'Broken' myself, with an ill timed and severe head
cold, so had to leave Eyvind to meet the people, and crash in the car for
an hour. Despite this, and being parked at the far end of Willway Street,
it was fairly impressive to be woken by 'Broken', followed a moment later
by Eyvind's text,

    Band is On

I had played a compilation of the Buttermarket set list on the way
over from London. A lot of parallels with Friday's set, apart from the
'standards'. 'Jack..' and the excellent 'Police 38'. The last time Angelo
was seen as well.

The 'Tolerance'and' Spitting Out Miracles' stuff were lent special
significance by Dave Chapman's presence, and he seemed genuinely pleased
to be there.
    And why not ?

    'Mended' now.

        Who was that extra guitarist?

We have been told: have we not?

"...and me for the last song!"
