  Yes the merits ,or demerits, of production values throughout the BA canon
is a bit of an old chestnut witin this List, isn't it.
  Arguably the peak of quality engineering was reached with 'Beatsongs', or
certainly within the 'Swagger' to 'Life Model' era, but both the latter are
roundly trashed by some connosieurs as being too commercial, departing too
far from the art and sponteneity of earlier offerings.
  Perhaps Gerard is pleasing himself more these days; I thought the 
feedback
for the forthcoming New new album was that he wanted to include the warts
and boils of the recording process, which doesn't bode well for those who
prefer the wall of sound app.roach.
  'Twenty Five Kinds of Love', for one, certainly deserves some TLC in
production.
