to ask him about a track i cut with my friend, james lee waaay back in the
heady post-swagger pre-beatsongs days. it was an aeros tribute/parody
called 'the decline of western furniture' by a (fake) outfit we called the
'mauve helicopters.' there was, as i recall, actually some talk of gerard
releasing it as a b-side a long time ago. he may still have a copy (i,
myself, only have a 2-minute fragment); again, it was done quite a while
ago, but it's rather funny. a reverent piss-take with pretty decent
gerard/rodney impersonations. just a bit of odd ephemera for the
dyed-in-the-wombat fanatic.
