Hey! Never believe what you read on the internet! Bop Art is a fantastic
LP -
Control Of Embassies, Gunning The Works and Built In A Day are some of
the
BAs finest works and for a long time were the mainstay of their live set -
in
the days when there were 10 or 11 bodies crammed onto a tiny stage
annoying
Henry the PA guy by randomly wandering on and offstage swapping
instruments (and
playing rather randomly too!) That polythene slashing Beefheart meets The
Fall
organized chaos was augmented by Bristol's first hiphop DJ dropping
samples
into the gaps between "songs" so there was literally never a dull moment
and
you never knew what was coming next!

I always preferred that LP over "Tolerance", imo it was only surpassed
when
they became a "proper" rock band for "Swagger" a few years later! (Not
that
Tolerance is a poor LP by any standards! ...he added quickly)

Cheers!

Rocker

PS Don't get me started on the "Bagpipe Music" LP - now there's a hidden
classic waiting to be rediscovered!
