I guess that the age of the material is irrelevant to them. I guess they see them as a band that will sell in today's musical climate. The production quality is a different matter, and it could be that they have insisted that the album be remixed by an outside producer. We'll have to wait and see.

I don't understand why EMI would be interested in signing and promoting the band but then put out an album recorded in bits over several years with some questionable (apparently) production which they've had no control or input over. Sounds very un-EMI like but very typical Blue Aeroplanes style.

Obviously I'm glad they have though!
