Having waded through today's diatribes I must thank Lisa for joining me in 
my stance against Robyn Hitchcock.  I should like him too, but to my ears he 
sounds like he's trying to be quirky for quirky's sake.  AND he sounds like 
Syd Barrett to me.  But then I like Syd Barrett because he doesn't sounds 
like he's just putting it on...  I don't know...there's no accounting for 
taste I suppose.
When you mentioned the undersea thing it made me think of They Might Be 
Giants:
"I'm going down to Cowtown
The cow's a friend to me
Lives beneath the ocean and that's where I will be
Beneath the waves, the waves
And that's where I will be
I'm gonna see the cow beneath the sea!"

But then THEY'RE quirky too...
