Fantastic news - I was already going to SxSW as part of a holiday in the
States :-)
It's basically an industry music conference, but with loads of gigs
attached. See http://2006.sxsw.com/ for details.
Anyone can attend, but it's is rather pricey at $475 - I booked my ticket
about 2 months ago, so got in for $375.
Apparently, there are cheaper passes available to local people, so if
anyone
has contacts in Austin it might be worth a try ?
