As far as I remember EMI still own the rights to Swagger. There was talk
(on here?) a couple of years ago of EMI possibly selling the rights so that
it could be re-released elsewhere, but perhaps they've now decided its
viable to do it themselves. If they are going to be releasing new product
too, it could be that they see that a Swagger re-release would give adequate
publicity for the new album.
Lord knows what will be on the second disc. There can't be many outtakes
that haven't already appeared on one of the Friendloverplane comps, Weird
Sh1t, or Cavaliers. Maybe a decent live show from that era? Or radio
session stuff?
