I thought Cope's Head Heritage site would carry Krautrocksampler but alas,
no. Try Ebay I guess....

I've got a reasonable music book collection, although I haven't read
half of them yet (one of the reasons I've just come to Uni was to get the
time and the excuse to do so!). I've heard of Cope's Krautrocksampler but
have never even seen a copy, let alone got one.

Diary of a Rock'n'Roll Star by Ian Hunter is a another good one.

Other recent reads include Patrick Humphries biographies of Richard
Thompson and Nick Drake. I'm not a big fan of his writing, but you can't
knock his research and attention to detail. In my opinion, the Drake book
is the slightly better of the two, which is odd as he didn't have access
to the subject (obviously) nor two of the main people in his life (his
sister and Joe Boyd), so he's down to quoting from previously published
sources. Could be that, with the Thompson book being the earlier one,
he's just getting better at it.

Helter Skelter books in Denmark Street in London is a great place to try
if you're looking for anything obscure. Don't know the website address of
the top of my head, but it should be easy to find via a search engine.
Don't even think of venturing into the shop if you have any plans at all
for the rest of the day.....

Cheers, Paul. I can't find a copy on the internet but
I'm going to see him in a couple of weeks time so I
  will check the merchandise stall.
