levitation

Saw Levitation at the Mean Fiddler in the mid-nineties, Terry Bickers
was ex House of Love and burning. An incredible piece of sonic cookery,
rivalled at the time only by Bark Psychosis.

didnt Angelo have a band with Guy Chadwick?

single sock syndrome: the unexplained ability of washing machines
to lose socks, meaning you rarely have a matching pair. similarly
with your favourite clothes .. where do they go?

Gerard's lyrics: an unexplored universe, the music is just
co-incidental, like the beautiful moment "arms rotate like helicopter
blades".
Have listened to many of them many times, but have not
one jot about what they are about, its like Rimbaud. I think he said
Weightless was about a plague-like worm in Africa responsible for much
misery. But not worth literal interpretations, the words are filters, a lot
of the
time the meaning of the piece lies outside what is said. Which is why he
balances
the heavy stuff with other people's songs, like Nick or Rodney. Ceiling
Roses,
for years i thought he said "Bartok", but its "promises turn to bar talk"
:)
