Hello United Kingdom...can we have your votes please ?Good work sir! Glad
to see 'Lovething/Higherthing' not making it! Just kidding!

Interestingly, Gerard was talking about different songs he likes or is
sick of, and he did say that of all the back catalogue the song he never
tires of is...'Jacket Hangs'! So we're all in accord then.

Well that's me off to listen to 'Colour Me' again. Haven't played that in
a while...

  Dear All,

I said as soon as the sun stopped shining in London I'd add up all the
votes in the Planes Top 12 list...and yesterday's downpour gave me the
opportunity.....so here goes.

  30 people voted in all
  70 songs were voted for
Read the following in an Alan Freeman cheesy Top 40 count down voice - I
realise some of you yanks won't get this...but think Casey what's his face
and America's Top 40 - only much much cheesier......

At 12 - Jack Leaves....8 votes...a bit of a surprise to me as I hate it
!
At 11 - Daughter Movie 8 votes - and it got mine - love it.
At 10 - Spitting Out Miracles - 9 votes - something the BA have been
doing for 20 years
  At 9 - Colour Me - 9 votes......colour me with...?
At 8 - Breaking in my Heart...9 votes.... for much of the vote it wasn't
in the top12 but a rush of activity saw it rightfully take its place in
the Top 10

  At 7 - Bury Your Love Like Treasure - 10 votes....I measured it !
At 6 - Your Ages 11 votes - 1 in 3 of you voted for it -a firm fave....
  At 5 - Weightless 11 votes - you like being weightless...but not best !
At 4 - Yr Own World - 14 votes - the opening bars have it I think.....
At 3 - ......and Stones...there were votes all around town for this
one...15 in all.
At 2 - Broken and Mended.....a bit of a surprise it was so high maybe
but 16 votes.....
  At 1 - Pick a song....any song...right....Jacket Hangs from the top
peg....18 votes.....

And those are the results from the juries on both sides of the pond.....
I'm still proposing a Planes night at my place to play the top 12...and
maybe the other 58 you voted for ! -clearly proving that the Planes are
indeed 'Top, top....top of the pops'

  Thank you and goodnight.
  Phil.
