Sadly living in London and with Friday train prices
being what they are I won't be able to come. It
sounds like it'll be a top night though. PV2, please
please please please could you acquire me a copy of
the CD referred to in the description below...? The
next 10 albums start here.....:
LIT with GERARD LANGLEY and FUZZ AGAINST JUNK
(Fri 13th / 8pm / £5 advance/£6)
A night of POETRY, live MUSIC and FILM combined in a
unique and entertaining manner.
Aural-Moonshine-Bootlegs for the Beat-Poet set.
In a one-off show Gerard will perform poems by Pablo
Neruda, Dylan Thomas, Ana Akhmotova and others to the
music of Love, Calexico, John Cale and more including
a short Blue Aeroplanes set featuring poems by Sylvia
Plath, WH Auden and Gregory Corso.This will then be
followed by a live recording of "Lit. Vol 2",
accompanied by hipster-groove band FUZZ AGAINST JUNK.
All sewn together by short Beat-poetry films.
GERARD LANGLEY (leader of Bristol's most successful
guitar band, The Blue Aeroplanes), releases the 1st
volume of his 10-set series "Lit" in a sticttly-
limited numbered and signed edition, designed by Sam
Giles. Copies of the "Lit" Vol 1 will be on sale.
