Ah, Infinite Monkeys. Well, we lost our rhythm section, the bass player to a round the world ticket and the drummer to do his own thing (he also played guitar, bass, keyboards, something odd like the french horn as well, bit of a talent really. He just liked to hit drums too!) We couldn't find replacements, particularly for the drummer, and the momentum just petered out. After the return of our bass player (I house sat for him and his partner while they were away and am currently still here as their lodger!) we thought about giving it another go, but it never happened. I'm off to University in Liverpool in September so I can't see the band ever getting ressurected now, unless they do it without me. I wouldn't have a problem with that, but as all the band, apart from the drummer who arrived via an ad in Trade-It, got together originally through being acquaintances of mine, I can't see it happening, even though they are all mates now to one extent or another.

Hazel was on good form when I've spoken to her recently, and hopefully the new album will be out soon. I'm sure people have recognised her here and there before, but maybe they are put off speaking to her by the dark scary songs? Not everyone would go out of their way to speak to someone whose first album was called Put Away The Sharp Knives I guess. Just nutters like me and Nick and I guess. Actually, I can imagine that she might be a bit uncomfortable with strangers coming up to her, so maybe she was just being a bit defensive of her privacy?

The gig on 30th is a charity gig of some sort, and I believe Bucky are also on the bill. I'll post more details when I find out anything.

The interview went pretty well (although I need to listen back again to it to be sure), we also played Breeder off Put Away The Sharp Knives and a couple of tracks chosen by Hazel (Long Neck Bottles by Captain Beefheart and 32/20 Blues by Robert Johnson.)
