When Gerard told us about the £1000 thing on Friday, I
said (half joking) that we could have a whip round to
raise the cash, but he was quite diffident about it.
All I'm saying is that he may not want (or need?) our
money. Or maybe he would really appreciate it. I
don't know, but some people wouldn't want this,
however well intentioned we are (and I know we are).
Perhaps someone who knows him would have a better
idea?
Some bands have asked for fans to pre-order copies of
the album and pay up front to fund the release. Is
that an idea we can suggest here?
If Gerard doesn't object to it, you can count me in.
That record tuned me into the Aeroplanes.
