Re: immensely generous offer

Mr Kingsbury, you genius,
I love you, and I want to have your babies. My hands are placed higher
than a high thing, and if I could place them any higher then I flipping
well
would. Count me in for anything on offer of a limited nature, or anything
there not featured on Nora`s web-page -- I`ll have to limit myself to
recordings and a 20 quid price tag, as Slovak schools don`t exactly chuck
money around, but I shall certainly pay any postage, etc. Let me know of
any
purchases, and how I can send you any payment, when you can.......
On the subject of rare recordings, has anyone heard of an EP now very
advanced in years by Gerard + Ian Kearey ? I saw it once at a friend`s
house
(a friend that I have now carelessly lost contact with....) and was stupid
enough not to offer him vast quantities of cash for it..... It also
featured
on a Blue Aeroplanes discography in the NME about 8 or 9 years ago, so I
didn`t dream the whole thing....
On the subject of multi-guitar attack, the encore of "Breaking..."
nearly
always attracted a variety of friends, relatives, ex-band members, and
support band staff on stage to pick up a guitar and bash out Verlaine`s
deceptively simple riff. The opportunity to join the band in this capacity
for one gig was even offered in a competition in the Bristol Evening Post
(which I didn`t win, damn their eyes!). The most assembled guitars in this
way that I saw was about 15-20 at their popularity peak at the old Town
and
Country Club (now the Forum) in London. However, it was always most
impressive on the smaller stages (Fleece and Firkin, Mean Fiddler) when 10
guitarists, bassist, drummer, + Gerard and Wojtek flailing around hardly
seemed possible.....
Favourite tracks: Can it be that I didn`t mention "Etiquette",
"Anti-Pretty", "88 Out", and "Secret Destination"? Thought not.....
love to you all, you sweet people,
Phill.....
