Dear All and sundry,
Gosh! What a storm of mail!!! It's lovely to know that there are so many
Aeroplanes obsessives still out there, colonising the world.
As one who has followed their fortunes for a good many years, seeing them
live nigh on thirty times, I feel I can identify with a number of you.
However, as a Bristolian now resident abroad (Slovakia) with little or no
hope of catching them live in the forseeable (and Unforseeable) future, I
feel I can identify with even more of you.
Thanks for the info, Ewan -- it's cleared up a number of unanswered
questions in my mind. Thankyou, too, to Tim, whose superb use of the word
"Dang" cheered me up no end.
One last thing -- missing the gigs is one thing, but the thought of
missing out on a chance of any limited edition recordings that have a
tendency to be on sale at Aeroplanes' gigs makes me shake and belch.
Anyone
got any suggestions??
Favourite tracks?: I've always had a bit of a thing for "Cat Scan Hist'ry"
off the Swagger album (much due to a truely apochalyptic
(spelling??) version that they played as a set finisher on one tour), but
much like other correspondants, mood plays a part ("Ceiling Roses", "Ÿour
Ages", "A Map Below"), and, simply put, you can spit at the track listing
of
any Aeroplanes album and you will hit the name of a favourite track of
mine......
I should lie down now,
Phill......
