I'm also deeply into XTC. Of course, this and my 'planes obsession makes
me
about as hip as a fondue-stained brown and orange kipper tie, and my peers
look on me with a mixture of pity and concern. What can I say? Wonderful
lyrics and heart-stopping music are important to me, and both bands have a
"This is what we do. No-one else does this, and if you don't like it then
fine, we'll still be here regardless," attitude which I find refreshing in
an industry where the only constant is the drive to sound like whatever
was
number one last week.
