Hey, being straight isn't THAT boring.

Interesting to hear we've got a variety of queer folks on the list... the
only other 'planes fan I know is the sort who's often so critical of
everything that one tends to forget he's fond of anything. As a result, I
didn't really have any mental image of the typical fan. I was sort of
worried they were thought of as a lad's band in their native country. Not
sure why I thought that.

Gerard's not what I'd call cute, though. Rodney... I can't remember what
he looks like in any picture more recent than the cover of the Circle Line
EP: poor forlorn Rodney.

My BA faves: Daughter Movie, Fun, My Hurricane, Detective Song, Saint Me
And The Devil, Ups, Anti-Pretty, Cat-Scan Hist'ry, Gunning The Works (fast
version), Pinkies Hit The Union...

Other bands: Wire, New Order, The Loud Family, Nothing Painted Blue, Robyn
Hitchcock, The Fall, Joel Phelps, Magnetic Fields, you get the idea.

I'm glad that this list is getting some discussion, but I have to
(politely) ask that people not leave the whole message they're responding
to in their mail -- it starts to add up when there's ten responses to
responses to responses to... at the end of the mail.
