Aeroplanes in london

  • Subject: Aeroplanes in london

I saw the Blue Aeroplanes last night at the LA2 in London. Does anyone
know
why the show started and finished so early? I've been going to gigs for
about 15 years and I've never seen a main band come on as early as 8.30pm.
Did they have to catch the last train back to Bristol, or was there
something unmissable on TV at 10pm?

Anyway, the result was that they started the set to a half-empty hall and
loads of people missed part of the set. It did eventually fill out and
there
was then a good party atmosphere. But when you've been away for a few
years,
have a new album to promote with great new songs, good musicians and
plugging for the concert on Radio 1, why try to blow it by coming on stage
before the audience is there?

It was a good night but it could have been a great one. I wish I was going
to the Bristol show tonight. If you're going, my only advice is to get
there
early.

Nick.

P.S. Rodney - you owe me a cigarette.
