Kat -
Yes, since we can't talk about the live gigs, we can
talk about other things...though I am sure we should
be doing this offlist so as to not piss anyone
off...right?
whatever!
Hoboken also claims to be "the birthplace of baseball"
if anyone else cares...
I spent many a drunken night at Maxwells which was my
second home from circa 84 - 86. Many many good nights
there - watching Peter Buck throw up and then drink
more...and that was actually how I came to live and go
to school in Athens, Ga - through the cool
people/musicians I met at Maxwells - one big happy
family!
Too bad I was living in Ga when the Planes played
there, it would have been interesting to just see them
all fit on that teensy stage!
I saw the Pogues there and was amazed they all fit.
what a drunken night that was...
My friends live in Red Hook, Park Slope and
Williamsburg in Brooklyn.
The bridge is an awesome NY kinda experience.
I just love it.
I live a bit west of the city in NJ - but can still
see the skyline from here.
