No hair bands for this girl.
Even though I grew up in NJ...home of Bon Jovi (I
spent an afternoon with his band once, they were nice,
he was not)
Mid 80's music in the States to me is the following:
REM
dB's
Lets Active
Guadalcanal Diary
Replacements
Husker Du (*I* liked them live!)
Jason and the Scorchers
Winter Hours
to name a few....
in fact - I think around 84 there was an explosion of
good American music in direct relation to all the
British bands that were around earlier in the decade.
(and I was a big fan of all those bands too)
and then in the late 80's early 90s back to British
bands for me....
with a few good Americans thrown in for good measure..
