Be careful what you wish for guys, as my Father used to say...... Ars
gratia artis, after all.
Harboured (oops!) a dream that the new album might be out in time for a
launch gig at Fleece around the time we'll be moored up at St Augustine's
in early July, but not to be, obviously.
Festive Greetings all,
G

There is now a challenge out for any animator out there to come up with
the dancing wojtek!! Chris, can we have a flick book CD case?

Excellent! Glad I kept my pianola up in the attic now, for just this
eventuality - you know how much better it will sound when the whole album
is played by a mechanical piano, just as the artists originally intended...
I heard as it plays the piano roll will double as a flick book with a
hand-drawn dancing Wojtek...

Any truth in the rumour that the new album will only be available as a
pianola roll until everyone on the mailing list has a copy, whereupon it
will be released digitally with extra tracks and free champagne?

Well worth a listen if you can but in summary:
New album "Welcome. Stranger!" to be released in (wait for it...)
September. And the Aeroplanes will play as part of the BBC 6 Music
festival in Bristol, February 12th-14th.
They played 'Jacket Hangs' live acoustically and then the recorded version
of 'Elvis Festival' (to be released as a single in February, apparently),
with a short interview with Gerard in between.

For anyone who's missed it yesterday:

This should work outside of UK too and starts ~1hr 36min
Enjoy,
