I was in the Blue Lagoon on Glos Road this PM when I spotted GERARD
walking past!
Of course, I shouted, 'OI GERARD! When's the album coming out?
I actually did shout that. Why the fuck not? He looked pissed off and when
he saw it was me, looked even more pissed off (not really) and said, 'When
I've written all the songs!' He has apparently done seven... so don't hold
yer breath for the album! I told him about my venture into performance
poetry and bravely asked if I could have a support spot on the next
Aeroplanes tour. In response, he looked, well, 'angrily amused' is the
best description. He did though giveme some tips for open mic spots, top
bloke! He is looking old, though. Really lined and old. Comes to all of
us, I suppose! And as he walked away my friend Freya commented on how
'diddy' he is, and indeed, he does look rather slender and slight in 'real
life' as opposed to on the stage. Unlike me he has NO arse!
My arse is huge.
