I'm sure Ian Kearey will your greeting, he's still associated with the
band ; joined them on stage at a couple of the more recent London gigs at
Borderline, the 'Swagger' outing, and, more recently about eighteen months
ago, where he was seen to do a Chuck Berry duck-walk playing the mandolin
durin BIMH, in motorcycle gear !

Bonne Annee, all, et bonne sante.

I just wanted to add my delight to the list as well. I ordered the double
cd and it arrived all the way across the Atlantic a week or so back
(losing track of time). THe second cd is incredible, very experimental and
prime planes. And, listening once more as I write, the original cd is just
amazing, such great songs. I finally gave in and ordered the LP last year,
at the same time giving myself a Christmas present at the time of a
turntable, my old one being passed onto my son years ago when I moved into
cramped quarters. I have to say, as much as I've always loved LPs (not to
mention I also have an old Victrola for a collection of cool old Scottish
and Irish 78's!),  in small limited space, it's not always easy to find a
place to set up a turntable, and a cd player fits anywhere. I think I've
already listened to the cd more times than the lp. If and when I find a
bigger place, that will surely change, but certainly for right now I
couldn't be happier
to have it on cd. And again, the bonus disc is simply fantastic. Every
little thing I love about the Blue Aeroplanes is there (well, except that
there's no new Rodney songs), while managing to chart a lot of new ground
as well;  the packaging is elegant, artisitic and informative. A shout out
hello to Ian Kearey, also, who first got me into the band after the
Oysterband's first US tour, thanks again!

Best wishes to you all in the new year.

Andy

And, in fact it is orderable now: I didn't make it to the gig but ordered
one which arrived just before Christmas.  I have failed to get around to
listening to the second CD, but just in case anyone is waiting: you can
order it and it comes!
