Hmm,

I am also waiting impatiently for the CD but that isn't affecting live
ticket sales, as implied.

The Fleece has a capacity of 330 and there were only 20 tickets available
on the door, so even if only people with a pre-sale ticket attended on 9th
December, that is 310 people. I suspect the remaining tickets were also
sold but either way the 'seventeen people in a pub' comment is way off the
reality. And they sounded amazing at both the 2011 gigs I attended.

Just my take on the matter!

If you really wanted it on CD you would have it by now. I have and have
not shared it and will buy again when it actually comes out. I also
purchased the LP which will always remain un played im sure.
Plus those who made the effort to get to Bristol in December would have
seen a very healthy attendance too. The Fleece looked amazing Chris and co
have done a top job, with rail fares and hotel it costs us over £200 that
night but well worth it. The sound was great. Even at their London show
in 2011 on a Monday evening there were more than 17 people (it was indeed
very busy).
The Blue Aeroplanes I’m sure love their fan base but do not exist because
of it.

Yours isn't very helpful to the debate…and you've obviously not sen them
live lately….Garaed is carrying a few pounds…but then so is Van Morrison,
Bono and most men of a certain age…the rest of the band are skinny as
hell…must be the drugs and bread and water existance because they can't
shift any units of their material…

D'you think the band intended to end up looking like fat old timers
playing to seventeen people in a pub whilst sounding like shite? That's
what they are now, and how they'll be remembered if they carry on with
this unique marketing ploy.

Steve Wilson and Tim Bowness also hate the way music is treated
nowadays..but even tho' they'd rather have us listen to their albums as a
total concept rather than flicking from track to track and dis-respecting
the music, they make their art available in whatever medium fans want to
buy it.

1. because they actually have fans.

2. because they actually care about their fans.

Your comment is arrogant bullshit.

Tell your friend David to stop being so cheap and buy a good turntable so
he can listen to the music as the band intended.
