Yep, a great night, I reckon. Particularly liked Gerard getting Rodders to
sling straight out of Yr Own World into a superbly laid back Jacket Hangs.
Always a good sign when a Band doesn't feel the need to crash and bash
through their signature songs.

I took Gerard's announcement about the new VINYL album release to be a
tongue-in-cheek sideswipe at what was, after all, a regretable imbalance
of humour.(Albeit, it still makes me grin!)
To paraphrase Chris Kemp ; I really don't care, either way.

Good to see you again, Paul, and to meet the other PV and NW2 amongst
others, at last.

Do love Max a lot, but hope he wasn't relying on the last bus home last
night, he had an unfortunate habit of missing things.

I echo Anna's request about the promo poster. Only saw one, in the Parade
Cafe, a superb example of it's kind. Forgot to pop in and swipe it on my
way out this morning ( OK, I was the anorak, all those years ago.)

Chris; Not sure whether it would be viable to put some of these up on the
website for a couple of quid, to help with SxSW beer tokens, or something ?

Thanks again, all, for another great excuse to be in Bristol.

5 was great Movie Cliches

9 - Rodneys song - was Gerard Starkies (Go Along With Me On This One -
also on the new album btw)

We had 2 more on the list but Gerard decided to skip them during the gig.

10 & 11 would have been Who Built This Station In The Midwest (which
sounded fantastic in the rehearsal) and China Brilliance Automotive.

A really fun night all round and good to get so many ex members together
(Angelo, Rodney, Dave, Max etc)

So now on to The Fleece on May 20th which as well as being the launch
night of the new album just so happens to be the first anniversary of the
band buying the venue.

Coincidence?

...nah!

;-)

Hi All

Just to let you know we're aiming to be on stage between 10 and 10.30
tonight. Yes Rebels can't make it but Bobby's other band the 45s will make
a very adequate replacement.

Set list clue:

Expect to hear at least one song from every studio album (except
Cavaliers).

...and yet that does include Bop Art!

See you later

Last time we came for Fiddlers gig, the Apple Tree was closed, despite the
'CLOSED' sign, which I was always led to believe actually means 'open for
cider, as usual'.
If I get there tonight and find the sign saying 'OPEN', I may get
confused, and wander on to Windmill Hill, like a tourist.

Me:
Ticket says 7:30, but personally I doubt doors will be open by then given
they've got 3 or 4 acts to soundcheck.

8:30?  Or shall we meet up in a pub beforehand?  Most of the closest pubs
in and around East Street aren't great (cue NW1 rant about the Apple Tree)
but the Windmill in Windmill Hill is less than 5 minutes amble and a
pleasant hostelry.

Any clues about stage times and running order Chris?
