siamese envy

No, no, this is a new one with a starting price of $10, (or maybe I've
missed it before and they lowered the price) - and it's not me selling and
I don't know the seller, so no crass commercialism from me, I assure you.
I just happen to think it is a very cool album,  (but then, I always like
the folky stuff, too) and wish it would come out on cd since my turntable
is busted!

I am totally envious of you guys and gals who have the chance to see all
these shows. It's been too many years since?Blue Aeroplanes ?have graced
the Boston area with their presence!

Anyway, wanted to let you all know, for those who don't have it, I just
saw that there is a copy of "Siamese Boyfriends" up for auction on Ebay
this week. I regularly check their listings in hopes of finding some BA
obscurity?or one of the LIT cds I missed out on, and this is the first
time in nearly ten years that I've seen this album listed. I've had my
copy ever since it first came out, in fact it was this album that
introduced me to the Blue Aeroplanes, cause I knew Ian Kearey from the
Oyster Band, and he had?kindly asked ?Gerard to ?send me a copy. I loved
it, then I found "Spitting Out Miracles" and I've been hooked ever
since... Now here's a useless thought: If I'd set aside $2 a week since
the last time the band played in Boston, downstairs at the Middle East
Club, ?I'd probably have enough money?right now ?to buy airfare and come
join you at this boisterous Christmas gig!

Me:
That copy has been up on Ebay for a quite a while.  I guess it's the high
buy-it-now price that is putting people off.  It's what is putting me off
anyway - it's an album I don't possess, although one of my best mates has
a copy.  Not a best-enough-mate to give (or even sell) me it though....

i know the Blue Aeroplanes are playing in a weeks time and we all
know what a great band they are but check out  a band called the See
See who play psychedelic Byrds like folk rock and are making a big
impression on the music scene having supported both the Raconteurs and
Brian Jonestown Massacre on their recent respective tours.Heres a video
of the See See band playing a track from their current album.
