Saturation Point
- Subject: Saturation Point

By the way folks, I stumbled upon a "new" EP by Saturation Point the other
day. I say "new" because it was released in 2008, apparently. I'm so out
of touch. Anyway, "A Black Sun Rising" is available to download on iTunes
for about a fiver, and is excellent.
For those who aren't familiar with the band, they are Julian Pransky-Poole
and Joe Allen formerly of Strangelove, and John Langley who we all know
from our favourite band. They specialise in brilliant instrumental
psychedelic prog rock, and fans of krautrock bands like Neu and Harmonia
will love them. John Langley's driving drum fills over feedback guitars
and wiggly sequencer riffs - it's heady stuff.
Their first two albums "One" and "Two" are available from the band's
MySpace site.

"Three", which is probably their most varied album and a good starting
point for listening, is available stupidly cheap from Amazon.

"Mechanisms" is also available from Amazon and contains some of their
catchiest tunes.

Can't recommend highly enough.
