Well I care.
I've been listening to music and buying now for over 40 years so the
quality of the format and reproduction makes a difference both at home or
in the
gig. (I used to hang out with radio & sound engineers so know well the
downside of compression) This guy had useful tips. Sure the discussion
was a
bit techie but driving the poor fellow away was a bit clumsy even if
rudeness was not intended. I note an apology was made however so perhaps
that
can mend it.
...you cannot lawfully or properly use fm radio without limiting and
compression .
. it's all a compromise ..studio, radio, or live .... or indeed mp3,
flac,
ogg, or any of the formats out there ..
I have a shed load of vinyl and a working deck ... and I like the vinyl
sound .. but to my ear most of the mp3's / cd's around are perfectly
adequate
most of the time ..
and I don't mind stuff being offered on 7" single ...
