Ah yes, that "forthcoming album" rumour again... Lots of description and
teasing over the last year or two, not very much music (although "25 Kinds
of Love" sounded promising). I've rather given up hope of ever hearing
it: I live in Glasgow, so I have a very low life expectancy, you
understand. The Blue Aeroplanes? More like the bleedin' Blue Nile in their
early years.
So, here's the business plan: organise a limited local release of a single
in a format that few people still have access to of an outtake from an
album that isn't even available. Stunning! An entire generation of
potential fans will be rushing out to buy a record player especially.
Granted, album releases get delayed for any number of artistic and
non-artistic reasons, but... but... but... Oh, go on Chris, tell us some
good news!
