Hi Rocker
You're not the first to bring this up so I thought I'd should chip in...
I've heard the recording of the whole gig. There are 7 songs which
we're cut from Skyscrapers, 5 of which were due to a very out of tune
guitar which was particularly prominent in the mix. I realise live
albums often suffer from this kind of thing but I can assure you the
recordings of those particular songs would only lower the standard of
what is otherwise a great quality live album. The other 2 are "25 Kind
Of Love" (which will be on the new album and is a possible future
single so we'd rather keep it back for now) and Jacket Hangs which is
on the Live In Cheltenham album. Gerard wants to release a series of 4
or 5 live albums without repeating a single track on any of them. It
could make for an interesting potential box-set one day...
One other thing...
Last year's Thunderbolt gig was on a Sunday and although it didn't
sell out it was pretty full. This year it's a Saturday and as the
venue only holds about 120 it is likely to sell out. I just thought
I'd mention it now as people have started buying tickets already.
Cheers
Chris

OK slap me down if this has already been discussed...
Have just listened to my copy of "Skyscrapers" Live Fiddlers Dec
2007 CD - Is great! Really good quality for what sounds like
straight off the mixing desk - and that version of "Police" is the
best I've heard them do for years - and I still remember the look on
Angelo's face when everyone else came in in a different key to his
intro to "Breakin...".
However listening to it I have a nagging feeling of incompleteness -
surely the set was longer than that, for example I'm sure they
played "...and stones", and did more than one encore?
Does anyone have the original setlist?
Cheers!
Rocker
