Indeed it was Mr Sharp, flying in from Switzerland that very day and
racking up the air miles at a heroic pace as usual :)
Joe Allen on bass and so you never forget again Dave Chapman on
guitar/mandolin
I`m waiting for photos from photographer (obviously) to put on website,
until then, enjoy these 2

Subject: [BluePlanes] Sunday Planes
Cracking Aeroplanes set at the Bristol Festival on Sunday. Five
guitarists - Max Noble, Rita Lynch, Gerard Starkie, Rodney Allen and that
other guy whose name I always forget, and ditto the bassist. John Langley
on drums, Gerard as himself, but no Wojtek. And was that our very own
Chris Sharp joining them for the encore?
Highlights included Broken & Mended, Jacket Hangs, Jack Leaves, Daughter
Movie, Warhol's Fifteen, Lover & Confidante, Bury Your Love Like Treasure,
Yr Own World, Your Ages, and Raise The Roof. Mention made of material
from the forthcoming album but nothing played ("This is most definitely
not on it" as they launched into Breaking in my Heart.) Sound and
performance first rate!
Audience sparse but appreciative...although...it was hard to judge how
many were there, as I'm not used to seeing the band early evening at an
outdoor venue instead of the usual middle of the night in the sweat-soaked
gloom of the Fiddlers Club.
Had a quick word with Ann Sheldon to ask when the new album will be
officially released. Answer - "f_ck knows"!
