I saw Robyn Hitchcock at the Union Chapel in London on his last tour
and there was indeed somebody Noble on bass. It had to be Max's
brother: they are very similar.

That's a good shout too - some lovely guitar work (gawd I sound middle-
aged) on "Underwater Moonlight"...

I'm a huge Robyn Hitchcock and Soft Boys fan, as is Nick W from this
parish. The other PV would be too if he'd only succumb to the threats
and cajolings from Nick and I and come to one of his gigs. Gerard has
also been known to frequent Robyn's regular gigs at the Fleece in
Bristol. He is a fan, but I think its Gerard's other half Ann who is
the bigger fan. He was certainly there hobnobbing backstage with
Peter Buck when Robyn was touring with the Venus 3 a couple of years
ago. Last time Robyn played there earlier this year I think he had
Max Noble's brother Paul on bass.
