Re: Xmas Gig

What an excellent gig that was. Great line-up, great set list (lovely to
Hear Broken and Mended kicking things off again, and Bury Your Love Like
Treasure in the encore), great night. Police (38 Divinity) was
outstanding.

Great to meet Phil, Neville, James, Gordon and Eyvind (wishing you a safe
trip home sir!) again, Abi for the first time (how the hell did you
recognise me?), and the usual Bristol suspects of course. NW1 and I are
planning on kidnapping PV2 and dragging him to the Robyn Hitchcock gig at
the Fleece in January. Its for his own good. Not a court in the land
would convict us.

The only Altitude song was Treeful of Starlings - the only flat spot of
the evening for me - so many better slower songs in the repertoire than
that. And it has never worked that well live, even when the Larder
sisters were singing on it.

Fruit is a very poor live album IMO. And in Gerard's too IIRC.

Or maybe a day listening to Stockhausen? That would be fun! I've not
heard much, but I know damn well it would drive my girlfriend up the wall.
