Sounds pretty brilliant to me! I vow to make it to the show one year.

Don't be pissed off. I didn't think I was gloating.
It wasn't all brilliant. We arrived just before nine and had to wait
nearly
fifteen minutes for something to begin. There were three support acts,
culminating in Rita Lynch, and - I have to be frank here - none of them was
rubbish at all!
Then just a short enough delay to buy a copy of LIT4 - interesting, Gerard
reciting Blake over tracks from a 1969 concept album, yes, that makes sense
- and another Guinness and then we had to sit through - well, more stand
and
dance through - ninety minutes or so of Blue Aeroplanes hits. And, and
this
is interesting, Wojtek told me personally that tonight he was
"impersonating
the kids of a fan".
Then we had to drive for nearly thirty minutes to get home and make some
hot-chocolate-and-brandy before going to bed with our heads ringing.
So, it wasn't all completely brilliant.
"Hullo? Hullo?"

And so the gloating begins.
.gits!
I had to settle for a consolatory listen to Beatsongs, whilst my 2 and 4
year old kids did their best to impersonate Wojtek. (Actually, they weren't
bad)
Pissed off,
Edinburgh.

3 am. Top job.
'25 kinds of love' it is. It's too many; it's not enough. You're right I
think about the contribution from Rita Lynch on that. Very tidy.
Also enjoyed the whole guitar shop look to the thing, where despite
Rodney's
Rickenbackers, Angelo won again with a quite gorgeous and beautifully
amplified and mixed f-hole Tele.
My recollections of the set list are always coloured by the fact that I
can't remember it. And the order is very blurred again. Anyone help?

I hadn't realised that Stockhausen had died. Hmm. I also don't know how
next year's being a leap year affects the calculation.

Fantastic gig! Best line-up I've seen for years - great to see Angelo,
Rodney and Dave back in the fold! Not forgetting Wojtek of course! Good to
see that time hasn't slowed him down the way it has me!
Thanks to the guy outside the gig who sold me his absent mate's ticket for
a
fiver!
Karlheinz Stockhausen said: "We should listen to old music one day a year
and the other 364 days we should listen to now music." Since he died today
I
reckon it was pretty apt to see the Aeros - even if they played more the
one
day than the 364.
For me, Angelo made the gig tonight - "Weightless" being a particular high
-
even if he couldn't quite remember how to get into "...And Stones" in one
pass! And the one new track sounded great - possibly "25 pounds" - with
Rita
Lynch sharing vocal duties with Gerard L. Other highlights were "Warhol's
Fifteen" and a fantastic version of "Police (38 Divinity)" without the
backing tapes but with 5 full on guitars hitting "that" chord over John L's
best pounding beat!
Angelo also managed to play the entire intro to "Breakin in your heart" in
the wrong key - so when everyone else came in it sounded like they'd got
it
wrong - but we'd forgive him anything for the solo in ".....and stones"! I
heard someone in the audience shout "who's that fucking guitarist and where
have you been hiding him?" and the answer came back from stage left "That's
Angelo - usually we can't afford him", which made me laugh.
Surprisingly little from "Altitude" tonight.
After the side projects of "Harvest" and "Lit 4" I for one can't wait to
hear some new material from the Aeroplanes! On tonight's evidence they
rock!
Cheers!
