Well the vinyl sleeve will have more of a papery rustle about it, where's the plastic cd case will be more click-tastic. Obviously it helps if you have the right equipment, but so long as your hearing hasn't been too permanently damaged from standing right by the speakers at gigs, or playing very loud drums without wearing ear-plugs then you should be able to hear something.

I have been listening to the art work from all the old BA material but basically it all sounds the same.  Except the one with the dog barking of course!  But that goes without saying. so I shan't say it.
