Outdoor Miner EP

Here goes then. Beautiful is and Bad moon rising you probably know.
Outdoor Miner is a grower - it'll be on the Harvester album so you may as
well wait for that if you can. I prefer it when the Aeroplanes do their
own stuff, I have to say, but the classic Aeroplanes sound is still there.
Stars in your crown is an old Aeroplanes song rearranged very
differently. I think it was on the B side of Detective Song, called Jack
of all hearts? Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, the new version is well
worth getting, I would say, even though it's not quite as good as the
original version (which I think was terrific). It's sounds like the
current live band on it. I suppose it might end up on the next album of
original material.

Beautiful is seems to have been taken from the Altitude CD and re-recorded
onto iTunes via a microphone in someone's bathroom. How do EMI manage it?
Don't bother redownloading this version unless you're downloading the
whole EP (which at ?1.99 makes it free). The other tracks don't have this
problem.

Question to our US friends - is the EP on US iTunes as well?

no ones talked about this since day of release last week.

i would too prefer something shiny in my hand rather than just nebulous
track in the ether on my computer so haven't as yet downloaded it from
i-tunes (or any other dodgy Russian site!)

The 30s preview though didn't sound awe inspiring, so please, someone
whose bought it give us the low down!
